career opportunities
The Foundation Degree is a 2-year Higher Education qualification that develops your work-specific skills in a defined vocational area.
The Fashion & Surface Pattern FD is particularly aimed at developing learners skills in areas in which there is a shortage, as in pattern cutting. As well as supplying the high demand for graduates with strong abilities in the use of digital media and software systems used in the industry.
The primary aim of the FD is to make you more effective in this fast-growing industry as a whole. We will provide you with the practical, transferable, up-to-date skills that you can immediately use in your career. It allows you to use the knowledge and the skills you already possess to take you towards the qualification.
The Foundation Degree in Fashion and Surface Pattern is designed to reflect your needs. You can either move on directly into the Fashion and Surface pattern industry with a Higher Education qualification after your name. Develop your career in Fashion or Surface Pattern further if you work in the sector already. Alternatively you can stay on to do a full Honors degree in one extra year at the University of Worcester.
